I suppose that you had difficulty during long service in South Pacific. I wish you may be fine. 6th February. In February 1917, HIJMS Yakumo under 1st Special Fleet which bases were in Singapore and Cape Town served to secure route of Indian Ocean began patrolling the South Pacific and Indian Oceans, searching for German commerce raiders.

Tamaki Tosu: from 1st December 1917 to 25th September 1918 during WWI, he served as Captain of HIJMS Yakumo. During the time, he was also Staff of 1st Special Fleet.

HQ was at Tonowas (Dublon) Island of Truk Islands from December 1914 to 1918, when naval administration ended. Ref: 310-076.
