1941 (Nov. 14th) PPC from EGYPT to GB with circ. EPP 4 p/m. and RAF censor R9/40 h/s. From 'AC/ Popplewell, 148 Squad. RAF, Egypt'. Operating 'Vickers Wellington' an active bomber squadron. In March 1941 it moved to Kabrit in Egypt. From here it supported the 8th Army during its battles for control of the North African Desert, operating from a number of desert landing grounds.
